Last year, Hall Prangle proudly recognized Molly Pankauskas as the recipient of the second annual Amy Kane Memorial Award.  Created to honor the legacy of former partner Amy Kane, the award shines a light on attorneys who lead with both legal excellence and a generous spirit. Amy, who passed away in March 2022, left a powerful mark on the firm through her compassion, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to her clients and colleagues.

Those who worked closely with both Amy and Molly emphasize their similarities. “Molly shares so many of the attributes and characteristics that made Amy such an outstanding attorney and person,” says Partner Tom Comstock. “Like Amy, Molly has an unparalleled capacity for hard work. She is always honing her craft and willing to help out no matter how much is on her plate. Like Amy, remarkably, Molly does it all with a heavy dose of wit and humor.”

As part of her award, Molly received a monetary stipend to support her professional development, either by enhancing her trial skills, growing as a leader, or fostering mentorship. In April, Molly used the opportunity to attend the Federation of State Medical Boards’ national conference in Seattle. The conference explored topics affecting the healthcare landscape, including the impact of artificial intelligence on medical practice and licensure, the spread of medical misinformation and its effects on patient-physician relationships, and the role of State Medical Boards in supporting impaired physicians.

By attending the conference, she gained valuable insights into future concerns of licensing agencies, which will allow her to advise her clients and inform their practices.
