Reflections from Summer Associates and Interns

Chicago
August 15, 2025

This summer, our Summer Associates and Interns immersed themselves in the dynamic world of medical malpractice litigation. From courtroom exposure to complex legal research, they gained hands-on experience and built lasting relationships. Here’s what they had to say about their experience:

“Being in the courtroom and seeing how litigation works up close was eye-opening and confirmed my passion for becoming a litigator in medical malpractice. It showed me how important good advocacy is for clients.” —Khushbu Patel, Summer Associate

“Seeing how cases I supported last summer had progressed strategically, procedurally, and in complexity was particularly exciting. Holding a position here means more than performing well; it demands a commitment to continual growth, thoughtful advocacy, and adaptability.” —Julia Nierzwicka, Summer Intern

“The summer program at Hall Prangle has not only given me invaluable, real-world legal experience, but it’s also been a great opportunity to learn about medical malpractice defense, observe multiple high-profile trials, and truly get a glimpse of day-to-day life as a full-time attorney.” —Ashley Bussell, Summer Associate

“Being exposed to high-stakes, emotionally charged birth trauma cases was both challenging and rewarding. I came away with a better appreciation for how critical it is to approach these matters with diligence, sensitivity, and strategic thinking.” —Mallory Jarot, Summer Associate

We’re proud of the dedication, insight, and professionalism our summer team brought to Hall Prangle, and we look forward to seeing their continued impact in the legal field.
