Hall Prangle Attorneys Secure Defense Verdict in Cook County

Hall Prangle attorneys Michele Anderson, Jessica Bertino, and Olivia Tomassetti recently secured a defense verdict in a Cook County trial on behalf of an otolaryngologist. The case centered on the death of a 45-year-old man. Plaintiff claimed that the defendant doctor failed to offer conservative alternatives to treat the patient's CSF leak before taking him to surgery, after which he ultimately passed away. The defense successfully argued that surgical repair of his CSF leak was necessary, and his death was unrelated to the alleged negligence. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the doctor in just two hours.
