Hall Prangle Attorneys Secure Defense Verdict in Las Vegas

Hall Prangle attorneys Mike Prangle and Tyson Dobbs obtained a defense verdict for Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Plaintiff’s claim related to an alleged failure to timely diagnose and treat a right middle cerebral artery stroke in a 36 year old patient, allegedly resulting in significant permanent brain injuries. The defense contended that plaintiff presented to the hospital outside of the relevant tPA window, and in any event was not eligible for tPA due to his low NIHSS. Further, the defense contended that he was not a candidate for thrombectomy due to his mild symptoms. Plaintiff asked the jury for $18.5 million in damages. The jury returned a verdict for all defendants in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
